I figured for ease of purpose, I'd make an LJ post detailing my fics. The ones I've finished, the ones I'm writing, the ones I'm planning, and the ones that are sitting on my HD in purgatory because I'm not sure if I'm going to do them or not. When I make an update that people need to see about, I'll just be relinking to this post so they can see the whole shebang.

Give me one of my own stories and a timestamp sometime in the future after the end of the story, or sometime in the past before the story started, and I'll write you at least a hundred words of what happened then, whether it's five minutes before the story started or ten years in the future.

Had a funky dream last night. ( Under the cut. )

So basically, it all kind of boiled down to Final Fantasy VIII except magic doesn't exist, Gardens are just private schools and not mercenary training camps, and some random girl has full access to all school systems in case of emergency.

Hmm, that would make a good fanfic, or video game. Throw in a male classmate for cliché romance (and maybe another girl for the Betty/Veronica angle and to make the romance not so cliché), have the title girl be the daughter of the superintendent/owner (who runs the place manually) but no-one knows about this or her computer access but the upper level members of faculty for her safety, have said superintendent get kidnapped by revolutionaries and force her to take over in an effort to get their asses the hell out of there... it'd be a fun ride.

Written seven or eight years ago. Something akin to Power Rangers mixed with Sonic the Hedgehog, spattered with Mary Sues. It didn't work, obviously.

For the record though, that's not the worst thing I've written, just the worst thing I still have available. There's a Sonic the Hedgehog story I wrote a year or two prior to this that was super craptastic, and one year prior to this I wrote the original version of this; this link is a second attempt. The original, for the record, was basically a less than mild plagiarization (using ideas, not text) of Vespera's pre-rewrite Spectrum Force series, but again with animals.

Two things of note.

#1: This chapter hasn't been beta-read, which I apologize to both the readers and my betas for. I was working with a time limit here, and I didn't give them the story in enough time to beta for me before the limit hit (they're all pretty busy). So I'm going to have to do this like I did with angel_negra for my last story, and just fix things after the fact once they get a chance to read it.

#2: Remember, if you don't want to spoil yourself to Operation Overdrive, then don't read this chapter or its preceeding one until after you watch episode 3, which airs on March 5th.

Feeling rather uplifted by the knowledge that I may have another job, I decided to act all invigorated and crap, and sit down to write some Global Trackers. Chapter 2 isn't quite ready for consumption yet, though it's a near thing; I expect to finish it tomorrow, though I wouldn't be able to post it for the beta-readers to tackle until Monday. However, I do have a 3672 word excerpt from chapter 6 I figured I'd post for you all to read. Un-beta'd on purpose, for obvious reasons. I may change the format later and include flashbacks of the event as it happened, as it might flow better. Still thinking that over.

This is obviously a little spoilery, since it's a bit ahead. However, it's not really that major; it's essentially some backstory of what Dylan and Silvy were up to in the month prior to chapter 1. It's also just an excerpt from chapter 6 out of 38. So it's not like I'm spoiling the endgame here. There is, however, one mention of something that happens in chapter 2, and a reference to a character that first shows up in chapter 3 (though chapter 1 referenced that same character, so if you've already been reading, you'll already recognize her name). Anyways, you don't have to read it if you don't want to, but you're not going to be spoiled that much if you do.

On the other hand, this is a portion of story with no villains, no monsters, no powers, no weapons, and no zords. Nothing from the actual show, not even discussion or mention of that stuff. So for those of you who didn't want to read Global Trackers at least until Operation Overdrive started so as not to spoil yourself to future episodes, you can safely read this. Though I would recommend you read the Ranger and Ally profiles at the GT site just so you know who's who in the story, but those two pages won't spoil you to the show either, as long as you don't browse to the other pages of that site, like the zord and villain pages. :P

It's up to you, at any rate.

Speaking of spoiling future episodes, PROO starts soon, and I seem to be getting back in the swing of writing. Here's hoping I can manage to put out a chapter once a week or so and get things running, while at the same time not feel stressed, because I'll have till OO finishes in November to finish this series too, which is significantly more reasonable than when I was going to try to finish by April. Anyways, I've already started looking at the names of the six known PROO episodes, and from what I'm guessing, chapter 1 of Global Trackers used the same sentai footage as episode 3 OO will (possibly eps 1 and 2 as well, but I'm not currently sure). So for those of you who would actually attempt to read this story side-by-side with the airing season, you'll be able to start reading at about March 5th.

( Story excerpt is under the cut. Amusingly, the excerpt alone is about 40% of the size that chapter 1 was, and that's without the chapter's actual plot and associated action. I'm assuming in advance that this chapter will be honking huge when it's finally released. )

My account at Sepwich got terminated a few months back and I had forgot, so I just spent the last 10 minutes uploading everything from that old domain to my subpage at Rangerwiki. arrow.rangerwiki.com is the spot, and it links to all my current projects, so it can serve as a good homepage of sorts.

One of the projects I had to re-upload was the site/ideas for my futuristic Legend of Zelda fanfic. I was always excited about where I had planned to take that thing (still am), and the character pictures and bigass map of Hyrule on that page are oh-so-pretty, but it only serves to remind me of the ridiculous number of fic projects I've started and have yet to finish. =/

At least that's one that I haven't actually "started", persay, so I feel a little better.
