Since I'm not sure exactly where you're tuning in from, I should introduce myself; I'm a 26 year old male. Generally on the internet you'll see me at various forums or communities using the alias Arrow (or Arrowned if that one's already taken). I only selected this name for my LiveJournal account because both of those were long gone (and I kind of regret doing that; everybody and their mom now associates me with Bridge from Power Rangers S.P.D., and while I enjoyed Bridge's character, he's absolutely nothing like me). Thankfully, I was able to snatch Arrow just fine at Dreamwidth.

My profile goes into a little more detail about me, but generally you can expect from this journal a hell of a lot of discussion on video games, Power Rangers, and Tokusatsu. If you're not down with that, friending me may be risky business.

Personal projects: I make music, write fanfic, and run websites. Sometimes I'll discuss those here as well. Most of my music is made via MIDI and ends up at vgmusic.com; while I'd like to get something on OverClocked ReMix some day, and I actually feel that my composition skills are up to the challenge, my sample sets/production abilities are not, so that'll be a while coming. What music I've done can be found at my personal website. As for my fic, most of it is, again, Power Rangers-based. Here's a master list of what I've written, for those interested in that. The primary website I'm working on at the moment, surprisingly not the one I just linked, is Rangerwiki, yet another PR-based item, this one being an attempt to make a trustworthy wiki for PR with all the canon information anyone would ever need.

Forums I normally hang out at: Metroid Metal, OverClocked ReMix, Power Rangers United, Rangerboard, and VGMusic.com. Forums I drop in at on occasion, but not as regularly as the above: Fuñaroboard, Henshin Justice Unlimited, Metroid Database (or at least I would if I could access the site; ever since it moved, I get a 404 without fail), Noteworthy Software, Rangercrew, SONIC EATS RINGS, Sonic Robo Blast 2, The Vinculum, and The Ur-Quan Masters. As I make the music for SRB2, I'm an administrator at that forum, but I'm just a regular user at the rest.

A lot of other people on my f-list have watchlists for what toku they've seen, and I'm not sure why I didn't have one yet, so here you go. It's pretty safe to assume that if I've seen the whole series, I've seen the associated movies too, except in cases like Den-O and Decade where they're friggin still putting out movies even now. :P

Alright, three things.

Thing The First: angel_negra pointed me out to a Kamen Rider fic linked in the last finalauraburst. It's an OC Rider, which is something I usually ignore when I see. That's probably not fair; I have no real problem with original characters/teams when it comes to any of my superhero fandoms (hell, I write one). But it's Sturgeon's Law; most OC teams/characters aren't written well, and I'm too lazy to physically look through the tripe to find the good stuff.

Well, this is one of the good ones, so check it out. It's called Kamen Rider Memora.

Thing The Third: So CERN's Large Hadron Collider, a ginormous particle accelerator, starts injecting beams this month, circulating beams through the entire complex on September 10, and attempting its first collisions on October 21. I've seen some hilarious conversations around the Net about the death and destruction geeks claim this will cause, but probably the most hilarious was people placing bets in one IRC channel that turning it on will shoot the device forward in time to 2012.

Meanwhile, others are worried that this thing will create a micro black hole on Earth's surface, which I suppose could actually legitimately happen, but the chance of it being a danger is roughly equivalent to a tornado spinning through a junkyard and managing to assemble a functional 747.

Step One

- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two

- Surf around your friends' list (or friends' friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

Odd, I'dve figured I'd score heavier.

So, about Metroid Prime 3? Yeah, I lied about being done with it. I started a new game immediately after finishing the first one because there's some scans/credits I missed. And then I'll have to do it a third time in the next difficulty level to pick up some credits you can't earn in Normal mode. And I'm not at all ashamed. :)
