Fic Repository Post
I figured for ease of purpose, I'd make an LJ post detailing my fics. The ones I've finished, the ones I'm writing, the ones I'm planning, and the ones that are sitting on my HD in purgatory because I'm not sure if I'm going to do them or not. When I make an update that people need to see about, I'll just be relinking to this post so they can see the whole shebang.
No, this isn't all Power Rangers. There's plenty of other stuff in here too. :P
---------------------------------------- -----------
Explanation - As far as fic lengths go, the stuff below is classified as either epic, standard, full-length oneshot, drabble-ish oneshot, or drabble. Epic is a saga with more than 15 chapters, while standard has between 2 and 15. Full-length oneshot is a single chapter story with a respectible length, while drabble-ish oneshot is basically a glorified drabble, only named differently because it's more than the 100 words drabbles generally consist of.
Everything under In Progress has been started, even if there's no link because the first chapter hasn't been finished and posted yet.
-----------------
Finished Fics
Crystal Ball - Power Rangers Operation Overdrive; drabble-ish oneshot. A short, humorous conversation between Bridge and Rose as the OO Rangers are packing up to head back to their old jobs. Takes place between Once a Ranger I and II.
Daishokubakuhatsu - Kamen Rider Kabuto; drabble-ish oneshot. Humor fic where Tendou uses an unrealistic finishing attack during a battle with Kageyama and Daisuke. Originally called "Norite Ryori Suru" until I was informed by
capncosmo how WAY off-track a translation that name was.
Faith in Lilith - Power Rangers Mystic Force; drabble-ish oneshot. Chip has a conversation with vampire Vida, but things don't go exactly as he plans. An alternate ending for Stranger Within pt. II. Rated M/R.
Forget Myself - Power Rangers Mystic Force; full-length oneshot. Focuses on Chip and Vida's relationship for six years prior to the show up to two weeks prior. Explains how they became such close friends through a series of flashbacks.

Hard Knock Life - Power Rangers S.P.D.; drabble-ish oneshot. A Krybot (the season's foot soldiers) reflects on his current direction in life... seconds before he gets his ass whooped by the Omega Ranger. Matches an actual fight scene in episode 22 as far as timeline.
The Way It Really Is - Power Rangers S.P.D.; drabble-ish oneshot. Jack takes Delta Runner 1 out for a late-night spin while contemplating his current direction in life. Takes place sometime after episode 3.
Triassic Migration - Power Rangers Dino Thunder; drabble-ish oneshot. AU story that places Tommy, Kim (yeah, I know, she wasn't in DT, but I needed a wife; in retrospect, I have no idea why I didn't go with Hayley instead), and the three starting Rangers in the places of a family traveling the Oregon Trail as interpreted in the Apple II game created by MECC in 1974.
-----------------
In Progress Fics
Power Rangers Global Trackers - Semi-original epic. Adaptation of GoGo Sentai Boukenger; serves as a full replacement for Operation Overdrive. 38 chapters planned for sure; many a sidestory expected later. The link above is for a personalized site for the fic with extra resources and images, but the story can also be found on FFN.

Substitute Learner - Power Rangers S.P.D.; standard. Jack and Sky get in an argument over who's the better leader, and switch morphers so they can get some actual proof. Two chapters written and posted, only one more planned.
Untitled - Original; standard. Four children go on a cruise ship with their families, and the vacation turns into a fight for their lives and their sanity when a rather retarded series of mishaps and coincidences sends everything to hell in a handbasket. Humor; crackfic.
-----------------
Planned Fics
Cowpocalypse - Original epic. The story involves a sword that has the power to destroy the world, and six factions of farm animals vying for control over it, along with human indentured farming slaves who want out of the war entirely. I'm doing this for NaNo 09.
Futurity's Zenith - The Legend of Zelda; epic. Link must gear up to face off with a revived Ganondorf one last time... millenia in the future of the rest of the series. Alien technology, governmental conspiracies, solar system travel, and other such things await. I don't plan on starting this until after I've finished Global Trackers, so that I can have confidence in the fact that I can start and finish an epic to know I'd be able to knock this one out. I also need to play Phantom Hourglass and the two Four Swords titles before I can start this. And finally, I want to go back over my outlines for this and, well, make sure it doesn't suck and isn't horribly cliché, because that plot on its own opens a hell of a lot of pitfalls in that direction. There will be a personalized site for the story when it starts to be written, but not before. In the meantime, here is a map of Hyrule as it is by that era. OoT, tWW (though it was flooded), LttP, LoZ, MC, and TP took place in the bottom half of the map, while AoL occurred on the top half.
Untitled - Original epic. A teenage girl begins dreaming consistently every night about another world in the midst of a semi-religious war. She starts getting her family and friends worried at her sanity as she tries to figure out what the hell is going on, if this world she's watching is truly real, and how to help the inhabitants if it is.
Untitled - Power Rangers Dino Thunder; full-length oneshot. A monster attack turns Tommy into a mental zombie as he declares his undying love for Kira nonstop. The other Rangers must find a way to cure him before she loses her mind in frustration. Humor fic that could basically serve as a lost episode, much like Substitute Learner.
-----------------
Purgatory
The Nova and the Omega - Power Rangers S.P.D.; standard, possible epic. Tells the story of Sam in the original alternate future, when B-Squad was killed in episode 21 and the Earth is subsequently overrun. In this story, Sam and the other cadets seen at the end of episode 8, along with scattered rebel factions, are all that stands between Gruumm and total defeat. This has been put on the backburner because my desire to write S.P.D. dimmed greatly after the season ended (which is part of the reason I haven't finished Substitute Learner yet either). Not sure whether I'll really do anything with this anymore.
Power Rangers Cosmic Crisis - Semi-original epic. Every PR writer has to make their own original team sooner or later, and this was going to be mine. Put on hold because it suffers from more than a few clichés (high-schoolers for one) and I'd need to re-organize things to fix that before I felt comfortable writing it.
Power Rangers Mythic Outcasts - Semi-original epic. My second idea for an original team, and possibly a cooler idea than the first, because it involves a vampire, werewolf, succubus, zombie, banshee, and ghost becoming reluctant heroes. Basically imagine Power Rangers + Underworld (the Kate Beckinsale movie) and you have the general idea. Sitting in the dustbin because I have too much other crap to write at the moment.
Power Rangers Generation 7 - Semi-original epic; the name is a placeholder for the time being. By "Generation 7", I'm talking about this. Those whole idea came about from this LJ post. While the story would be just as much of a lighthearted/serious mix as any PR season, it's obvious how much pure crack went into the idea alone.
Untitled - Star Control 2; epic. Novelization of the game. In the dustbin for the same reason as Mythic Outcasts; too much other stuff being written to bother with this. Also, the Star Control 2 fandom seems to be very very sticky when it comes to how the original game is modified/messed with, and it may not be worth the headachestrouble in the longrun.
Untitled - Final Fantasy Endless Nova; epic. Novelization of the game. See above.
Untitled - Original, standard. A story based on the mIRC game I made several years back called Wavestorm, and which I hope to remake as a real game (maybe even an MMO action/RPG) eventually, if I ever get around to learning how to program. The story is in the dustbin now because a huge chunk of the game has gone through a redesign, and the story would need to be changed to match up.
Untitled - Original, standard (possible epic). The quick explanation was "nobles, assassins, nurses, slums, and depression", but you're probably better off checking out this (locked) post for the full story. I actually really liked this idea, but I #1: again have too much other stuff to write, and #2: have a lot of work figuring out where that story would actually go. Right now, it just looks like an interesting read without any sort of real resolution to work towards.
Untitled - Original, standard (possible epic). Another idea, like the above, that game from a dream. This one had to do with a not-as-evil-as-you'd-think empire kidnapping people to drain them of a mystical energy, and rebel ex-captives using said energy as superpowers to try and rescue the captives and fight back. More info in this (locked) post. This one has a more easily outlined direction than the above, as far as where I'd go with it.
Untitled - Original, standard (possible epic). Yet another dream idea... I have a lot of these, don't I? Rough explanation involves a floating academy (think Gardens in Final Fantasy VIII) but non-military in nature, where students from 6 to 20 go to school. The dream gave me the mental image that their world was unsafe for non-adults to be out and about in, hence this setup. The superintendent's daughter is a student there, but her relation to him is kept secret from all but the upper brass. His kidnapping and her training to take over for him as she gets older forces her to run the place temporarily as terrorists cells try to take the place over. More info in this post.

This post, like my journal's introductory post and toku watchlist, is future dated to 2025 so that it stays at the top of the blog. If you're directly reading itsbuttery.livejournal.com, then whatever post is below this one is actually the latest journal entry.
